Siyo nigad! My name is Aisha Owle

I create from a place of healing and remembrance. My art is a reflection of the stories that shaped me — stories of strength, growth, and the beauty of coming home to myself. Each piece is born from both pain and peace, carrying the medicine that helped me return to who I am.

My journey has been about reconnection — to my language, to my people, and to the rhythm of the land that raised me. Learning and speaking ᏣᎳᎩ has become another form of art to me, a way of breathing life back into what was once quiet. It reminds me that creation is ceremony, and that every word and brushstroke carries spirit.

The elements in my work — vines, feathers, roots, and the web of life — mirror the connections I continue to rebuild. They represent the ways we are all tied together, held by memory and guided by love. I create to honor those bonds, both seen and unseen.
